Impinj Named One of Washington’s Best Companies

Seattle Business magazine cites employee perks and a culture of respect as reasons for Impinj’s #3 ranking in its annual Best Companies to Work For survey.

Impinj proudly announces its recognition as one of Washington's Best Companies to Work

Impinj has received a top ranking in Seattle Business magazine’s annual Best Companies to Work For list. The magazine named Impinj the third-place winner in the Large Company (more than 150 full-time Washington employees) category, noting Impinj’s weekly all-company meetings — in which employees are encouraged to share their thoughts on company actions — bagel breakfasts, and game room and ping pong tables as just a few reasons for the honor.

‘Culture takes all of us’ is the call to action we remind employees of often. We want our employees to bring their most authentic selves to work and to build great memories along the way. Our culture is built through intentional work and it’s important to build a team that feels they’re doing something important. At Impinj, employees lead culture activities, ranging from choosing the type of coffee offered in the company kitchen to how our robust diversity, equity, and inclusion program is carried out. We believe that building culture for each other—whether through our diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, management programs, or community giving—boosts morale, because that work is informed by what’s authentic to our employees, and therefore what’s authentic to our culture. Our global hybrid environment makes it possible for employees to connect and have the freedom to build the culture they want to be a part of.

Seattle Business Magazine surveyed Impinj’s Seattle-based employees for their opinions on pay and benefits, training and personal development options, work environment, the company's corporate culture, and more.

Putting our employees first has been our approach since day one. We’ve proven that if we listen, support, and trust our employees, they’ll return the favor by bringing their best efforts and ideas to the table. It’s truly a win-win approach.

Our Culture of Caring

Headquartered in Seattle, Impinj has more than 400+ employees across the U.S. and in 14 countries. As Impinj’s headcount has increased, so have its efforts to support employees and give back to the community.

Over the last year, Impinj has enriched the employee experience and the way we work together to make the world a better place with:

  • The launch of employee resource groups (ERGs), including the Black Employee Network, Women at Impinj Network, and Pride at Impinj groups that provide members an opportunity to support one another in a safe place, educate others through cultural and community celebrations, create feedback loops for Impinj leadership, and foster advancement opportunities.
  • Annual employer-matching of up to $100 per eligible employee to Impinj Cares, Impinj’s corporate giving program that promotes and supports corporate and employee-led charitable activities.
  • Sponsorship of the first Impinj Cares-a-thon philanthropic event, which mobilized volunteers and generated donations to more than 70 causes.

Impinj’s Best Companies to Work For award comes as no surprise — Impinjineers follow a set of 16 principles that keep us grounded, hold us accountable, and encourage us to think big. We find that when you give employees the tools they need to be successful, all you have to do is stand back and watch them thrive.
