DELO, Mühlbauer and Impinj Partnership Brings Advances in Efficient RAIN RFID Label Manufacturing

DELO, a leading manufacturer of industrial adhesives, and RAIN RFID parts and systems manufacturer Mühlbauer recently collaborated with Impinj to develop a new adhesive that moves RAIN RFID label manufacturing closer to producing 100,000 inlays per hour on a single assembly line.

The new DELO MONOPOX AC6545 adhesive dispenses quickly and cures in as little as one second, allowing for high-speed assembly of copper-bonded RAIN RFID chips, such as the Impinj Monza 6 family, on Mühlbauer DDA (Direct Die Attach) inlay manufacturing machines. The new adhesive also delivers improved performance on gold-bonded chips. With these advancements, Mühlbauer DDA machines can now produce over 40,000 inlays per hour, with the ultimate goal of improving capacity to 100,000 inlays per hour.

With innovations like DELO’s new adhesive, RAIN RFID inlay manufacturers are poised to benefit from faster, increased label production and reduced operating costs. Faster production will also better enable manufacturers to provide RAIN RFID tracking in high-volume industries like retail, shipping, and airline baggage tracking.
