Impinj Achieves ThingWorx Ready Status

Impinj Offers New PTC Marketplace Connector Enabling ThingWorx Users to Streamline Inventory Management

SEATTLE - December 19, 2019—Impinj, Inc., a leading provider and pioneer of RAIN RFID solutions for identifying, locating, and authenticating everyday items, announced today that it has joined the PTC Partner Network. In addition, the Impinj connector for PTC’s ThingWorx® Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platform has been validated as ThingWorx Ready™ by PTC.

The Impinj Client for ThingWorx allows customers to easily integrate RAIN RFID data from the Impinj platform, a comprehensive RAIN RFID platform spanning endpoints, connectivity, and software, directly into ThingWorx. With this integration, companies can view and manage data coming from their assets, enabling streamlined inventory and asset management across facilities. Technology companies participating in PTC’s ThingWorx Ready program may validate their products’ interoperability with ThingWorx and make those products available on the PTC Marketplace, a digital space where PTC’s partners and customers can access and promote IIoT tools, market-ready solutions, and innovative technologies that help to accelerate solution deployment.

“Launching the Impinj connector on the PTC Partner Network is a significant milestone in our overall partnership with PTC,” said Sandy Murti, vice president, partner development at Impinj. “PTC’s partners can now more easily utilize real-time data delivered by the Impinj RAIN RFID platform with PTC ThingWorx to enable a range of industrial use cases, such as managing the flow of components in a manufacturing process or tracking assets within a warehouse, to help customers improve their operations.”

“We’re pleased to welcome Impinj to the ThingWorx Ready program,” said Kevin O’Brien, senior vice president, Strategic Alliances, PTC. “Our network of technology partners allows us to offer our customers and partners innovative resources that can add value to their IIoT solutions and help to accelerate time to business value.”
