Impinj Moves Headquarters to Skanska USA’s South Lake Union Development

Item Intelligence Provider’s Growth Drives Move to 400 Fairview

Seattle, WA December 15, 2014 - Item Intelligence platform provider Impinj, Inc. and Skanska USA Commercial Development Inc. today announced that Impinj will move its headquarters to 400 Fairview, a Skanska development project in Seattle. Driven by company growth, Impinj will expand to the 11th and 12th floors of the 14-story building in Fall 2015. Core to Impinj’s decision to lease the 52,000 SF space at 400 Fairview, are opportunities provided by the location in the thriving South Lake Union technology hub.

“We’re thrilled to find a new home for our growing business. This building and location will allow us to attract top talent and increase productivity and collaboration,” said Evan Fein, CFO at Impinj. “Skanska’s eye for quality and attention to the customer’s vision sets its buildings apart in the Seattle market.”

Impinj chose 400 Fairview for many reasons, including amenities like its distinctive ground-floor experience, designed to capture the spirit of small scale retail found in Seattle’s favorite neighborhoods. The building also offers large open-plan floors and several roof top deck spaces—all within walking distance to transit, parks and the downtown core.

“The office space is really currency for talent focused companies in the market today,” said Lisa Picard, executive vice president for Skanska USA’s commercial development. “Our focus is always finding ways we can support companies like Impinj to be even more successful at what they do.”

400 Fairview is Skanska’s second office development project in Seattle, and the Impinj lease marks Skanska’s third relationship with a headquarters tenant in the market. Skanska’s first commercial development in Seattle, Stone34 is home to the Brooks Running brand headquarters and is fast becoming a Seattle landmark in the Fremont and Wallingford neighborhoods.

Impinj will maintain a 10,000 SF Fremont location for its Retail Experience Center (REC), where visitors can engage in a “store of the future” that highlights the value of RAIN RFID-based Item Intelligence in improving business decisions and shopping experiences.
