Lighting RFID Portal
Automated reading eliminates read rates that can be affected by employee technique. RFID reading with the Lightning Portal is started with the press of a button and can only begin when the door is closed. A Red indicator light illuminates during reading. When reading is complete, the light turns Green and the door can be opened. The Lightning Portal can be used for both soiled and clean textiles as well as assignment of RFID to new textiles.

The unique design limits reading outside of the portal and concentrates the signal where it is needed most. Two designs are available – a 3-Sided model and a two-sided Pass-Through model. Positek RFID’s software communicates with third-party software packages as well as with the Positek RFID Software suite. The Updraft RFID Portal can be used for both soiled and clean textiles.

Elimination of doors allows for uninterrupted flow within the plant. Visual cues provide the operator an indication of how quickly the cart can be moved through the Jet Stream Portal and if it needs to stop based upon the number of tagged items in the cart. These visual cues provide for the ability to deliver a highly accurate and consistent reading. The portal can be used for both soiled and clean textiles as well as the assignment of RFID to new textiles.

When reading is complete, the light turns Green. The double door design allows for the flow of goods to pass through the portal and optimize the process and can be placed over a scale.
