Video: How RAIN RFID Tackles Challenges in the Supply Chain

Deploying a RAIN RFID solution in your supply chain empowers you to streamline your operations while achieving real-time visibility. This video explains.

Video transcript:

Today, customer expectations have no limit, but for supply chain operators, resources do. Hidden inefficiencies within complex systems keep them from running an efficient, agile supply chain. Transparency into every movement is crucial — from manufacturing to customer delivery.

Our partners use the Impinj platform to bring visibility to items moving through supply chains for more streamlined and automated operations.

Throughout the supply chain, items are labeled with RAIN RFID tags, each of which contains a unique identifier and can be used to determine item location, shipment contents, and direction of movement along with verifying authenticity.

Readers are installed on conveyors or doorways to wirelessly read and identify goods and containers as they move between facilities. Supply chain operators can use this data to streamline processes, improve efficiency and eliminate errors.

As shipments move in and out of dock doors, RAIN RFID allows employees to verify those shipments wirelessly and without a direct line of sight. Shipments are automatically tracked, assuring the right objects are sorted to the correct locations while trucks are loaded and unloaded.

With RAIN RFID, supply chain leaders are able to leverage accurate, automated, high-speed systems, enabling full visibility and control. The end result is greater overall efficiency and increased confidence.

Together with our partners, we're extending the reach of the internet by a factor of 1,000 to enable a brighter, more productive future.
