Demo: Digital Product Passports with RAIN RFID

Watch a demonstration that highlights how RAIN RFID on a mobile device can deliver DPP data to retailers, consumers, and recyclers.

Digital Product Passports will soon be mandated by law for many products sold in the European Union, including clothing, tires, batteries, and more. RAIN RFID can support Digital Product Passports, providing digital records that follow products from production to purchase to eventual disposal.

RAIN RFID provides connectivity for tens of billions of everyday items each year. With RAIN, organizations can identify and locate items quickly, without direct line-of-sight, from a close distance or up to several meters. RAIN tags can be attached to or embedded into items — even sewn into garments — withstanding repeated wash cycles throughout the life of an item and supporting consumer privacy.

By adding RAIN tags to products, companies can create digital records for every item they manufacture, transport, or sell — digital records that are shareable with consumers. RAIN-enabled enterprise mobile devices are available today, with consumer smartphones expected in the future.
