RFID Journal LIVE! in Orlando, Florida will be the place to be on April 10th. Leaders from across the industry will be there to swap success stories and share their perspective on the future of RFID. If you’re planning to be there, stop by Impinj booth 1407 and see our new item location demo featuring the Impinj Indy RS1000 reader module development kit.

The Indy RS1000 reader module is the newest RAIN RFID reader module from Impinj, and supports a six-meter read range that is ideal for vicinity reads. Its small form factor and compatibility with Raspberry Pi enable easy prototyping of all-in-one, fully networked, embedded RAIN RFID readers for POS terminals, handheld devices, tablets, smart kiosks, and shelves.

The Indy RS1000 development kit offers several improvements over earlier Indy development kits, including:

  • New onboard reader antenna
  • 40% reduction in power requirements
  • 75% reduction in size
  • 100% improvement in reader sensitivity
  • Easier integration into embedded systems like Raspberry Pi

Whether you’re a software engineer looking to quickly embed RAIN RFID functionality into your next design, or just curious to see how you can bring RAIN into your everyday life, the Indy RS1000 development kit should be on your "must see" list.

Our demonstration will show how you can verify the location of specific items in a household or office setting by easily integrating the Indy RS1000 into an existing system.
