Welcome to Impinj RFID
Impinj RFID Product Overview
Impinj® translated its standards-driving systems expertise into the world's first deployments of EPCglobal-certified UHF Gen 2 products. These include the Speedway® reader, the Monza™ and Monaco™ tag chip families, and through our partner programs, an expanding line of market-specific tag and reader antennas that together comprise the Impinj GrandPrix solution.
Now, through acquisition of Intel® Corporation's RFID Operation, which includes technology relating to the awarding-winning R1000 reader chip, Impinj technology enables reader form factors beyond fixed, such as mobile and embedded.
Impinj's Indy R1000 UHF Gen 2 reader chip integrates onto a single chip 90 percent of the components required for a reader radio, significantly reducing reader design complexity.
The Indy R1000 provides robust support for EPCglobal's UHF Gen 2 specification, including dense reader mode. By incorporating the complete transmit, receive, demodulation, and baseband functions in a flexible architecture, the Indy R1000 enables reliable readers at lower price points for application across a wide variety of vertical markets.
Impinj's GrandPrix solution is the de facto UHF Gen 2 RFID market leader with the industry's most read-reliable tag and reader products.

The Speedway reader is the first high-performance reader designed from the ground up (not merely upgraded) to support the UHF Gen 2 standard in its entirety. That includes the horsepower to accommodate 640 kbps tag-to-reader data rates and robust performance in dense-reader environments. The Speedway reader is
EPCglobal certified for conformance and interoperability.

The Monza family of chips provide 96-bit electronic product code (EPC) memory. Monza/ID includes an additional 64-bit field for enhanced anti-counterfeiting and item authentication support.

EPCglobal Gen 2-compliant Monza/ID chips feature factory-programmed and secure (permanently locked) serialized product identification numbers (in addition to the standard 96-bit electronic product code), making it the solution of choice for anti-counterfeiting and anti-cloning RFID applications. Monza/ID chips feature the same footprint and performance characteristics as those of Impinj's popular Monza chips. Monza/ID chips also use the same tag antenna designs, allowing RFID tag manufacturers to incorporate the chip into their products without having to retool their existing inlay manufacturing processes. The Monaco family of tag chips provide user-rewritable memory, extending Gen 2 RFID tag data storage capabilities beyond the standard 96-bit electronic product code (EPC) to include additional item-level information.
