Monza/ID chips feature the same footprint and performance characteristics as those of Impinj's popular Monza chips. Monaco™/64 chips provide 64 bits of user-rewritable memory, extending Gen 2 RFID tag data storage capabilities beyond the standard 96-bit electronic product code (EPC) to include additional item-level information. Monaco™/64 chip memory can be read and written repeatedly, enabling the maintenance of dynamic data, which can also be locked to prevent subsequent alteration. The Monaco family of chips targets industries and applications with specific data storage requirements, including:
- Airline industry: baggage tracking; equipment maintenance and inspection data
- Pharmaceutical industry: electronic pedigree; manufacturing lot and date code; expiration date
