2012 Shenzhen International Internet of Things Exhibition

Impinj booth at the 2012 Shenzhen International Interent of Things ExpoImpinj attended the 2012 Shenzhen International Internet of Things Exhibition on August 15-17 in Shenzhen, China.  The show is the largest of its kind in China, with over 200 companies showcasing internet of things (IOT) technologies, RFID and smart identification solutions for a myriad of industries including retail and apparel, healthcare and consumer goods.  The applications for the technologies displayed covered anti-counterfeiting, apparel tagging, smart homes, food security tracing, liquor tagging, library management and much more.

Our China team saw a lot of interest in the Speedway Antenna Hub and Monza X chips which were formally announced in China at this show.  Visitors to our booth were excited about the Speedway Antenna Hub because it can lower implementation costs by increasing the number of antennas connected to one reader, opening the door for new applications such as smart shelving units.  Visitors also saw Monza X-2K Dura chips as an opportunity to deploy new applications in consumer electronic device markets.

Impinj was very honored to receive two awards at the show. We were recognized as the Most Influential International RFID Company of 2011 and our Monza 5 chips were awarded the Best New RFID Product of 2011.
