EPS: (Adobe Encapsulated PostScript) Encapsulated PostScript is a drawing format supported by most illustration and page layout programs. Note: You must have a PostScript-enabled printer in order to print correctly.

JPEG: A graphic format that economizes on the way data is stored, discarding "extra" data, that is, information beyond what the human eye can see. Lowering the quality of a JPEG image will decrease the file size, but will also produce an image that will appear noticeably different from the original.

TIFF: (Tag Image File Format) A widely supported format for exchanging "bitmapped" images between applications on both PC and Macintosh computers. TIFF graphic files are commonly used in desktop publishing, graphic, and scanning applications.

BMP: A commonly used file format on IBM PC-compatible computers. This format consists of rows and columns of dots, stored in bits of data, which is then translated into pixels (for display screens) or ink dots (for printers). Most commonly used in Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel.

PICT: Developed by Apple Computers, PICT is a graphic format that is "bitmapped" and translated much like the BMP files on a PC computer. The PICT format is supported by all graphics programs that run on Macintosh computers.
