Motorola Labs to Evaluate Impinj's Self-Adaptive Silicon Technology

Seattle, WA  March 31, 2003 Impinj, Inc., the Self-Adaptive SiliconTM company, today announced that Motorola Labs, the applied research arm of Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT), is evaluating Impinj's patented Self-Adaptive Silicon technology for potential application in wireless and other next generation communications chips. Impinj is providing design support and working with Motorola to validate the results.

Impinj's Self-Adaptive Silicon transistor and circuit-design technology allows precise tuning and calibration of analog circuits in logic CMOS processing using floating-gate structures. Impinj has also used Self-Adaptive Silicon technology in producing AEON Memory, a product that allows chip designers to cost effectively embed non-volatile memory into standard logic CMOS designs. Recognized as one of the leading technology developments in 2002, Self-Adaptive Silicon may be the foundation for a new generation of single-chip solutions that enable communications products to be smaller, faster and consume less power.
